This explains what we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. It is written to be read, not to be impenetrable. If anything is unclear, ask us and we will explain it in plain words.

Who we are

Airportlink is operated by Transitan Tourism Tours Ltd, registered in Ireland under number 781297, with its registered office at 36 Gardiner Street Upper, Flat 11, D01 H9N1 Dublin, Ireland.

We are the data controller for the information described here. For anything about your data, write to privacy@airportlink.app.

What we collect

When you book

  • Your name, email address and phone number.
  • The pick-up and drop-off addresses, the date and the time.
  • The number of passengers, and a flight number if you give us one.
  • Anything you write in the notes field.
  • If you are booking for someone else, that person’s name and phone number.

When you pay

Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. What reaches us is the amount, the currency, the last four digits, the card brand, and whether the payment succeeded. If you choose to pay later, Stripe stores your card and gives us a reference we can use to charge it once, on the date we told you.

Automatically

Your approximate country, so we can suggest a currency. Basic technical information your browser sends to any website. We do not build advertising profiles and we do not sell anything to anyone.

Why we collect it

  • To carry out the transfer you booked. The driver needs the address, the time and a phone number that reaches you.
  • To take payment and issue receipts and refunds.
  • To keep you informed — the confirmation, the driver details the day before, and anything that changes.
  • To meet our legal obligations, mainly accounting and tax records.

We do not send marketing emails unless you ask for them. The emails about your booking are part of the service you paid for, not marketing, and you cannot opt out of those while a booking is active — you would not know who was picking you up.

Who else sees it

The driver

The transport company that carries out your transfer receives your name, phone number, the addresses, the time and the number of passengers. They receive it only after they have accepted your specific transfer, and only for that transfer. They do not receive your email address or anything about your payment.

Our service providers

  • Stripe — payments.
  • Supabase — where your account and bookings are stored.
  • Resend — the emails we send you.
  • Google Maps — address search and route distance.
  • Render — where this website runs.

Some of these operate outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, transfers are covered by the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses or an equivalent safeguard.

Travel agencies

If an agency booked on your behalf, they see the booking they made. We do not contact you about anything other than that transfer, and we do not add you to any list.

How long we keep it

  • Bookings and invoices: six years, because Irish tax law requires records to be kept for that long.
  • Your account: until you ask us to delete it.
  • Support conversations: two years, then deleted.
  • Saved cards: removed as soon as the booking is cancelled or paid.

What you can ask us to do

You can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct something wrong, ask us to delete it, ask us to stop using it for a particular purpose, or ask for it in a portable format.

Write to privacy@airportlink.app and we reply within thirty days. There is no charge.

Some things we cannot delete on request — an invoice from last year has to stay for as long as tax law says. We will tell you if that applies and why.

If you think we have handled your data badly, you can complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission. We would rather you told us first, but it is your right either way.

Cookies

We use the minimum. There is no advertising cookie on this site and no tracker that follows you elsewhere.

Some are necessary and we do not ask about them, because without them you cannot sign in or pay:

  • Your session, so you stay signed in between pages.
  • Your language and theme, so we do not ask twice.
  • Stripe sets cookies at checkout to detect card fraud.

One is optional, and we ask before setting it:

  • Google Analytics, which tells us which pages people read and where they give up. It is not loaded at all unless you accept, and the site works exactly the same if you decline.

The bar at the bottom is where you answer. To change your mind later, use Cookie settings in the footer of any page — withdrawing is as easy as accepting, which is what the law requires.

Every cookie is listed by name, with what it does and how long it lasts, in our cookie policy.

Changes

If we change something that matters, we update the date at the top and, where the change is significant, tell you by email.
