The airport
Ljubljana Airport is at Brnik, north of the capital and closer to Kranj than to Ljubljana, which puts it on the way to Bled and the Julian Alps. There is one passenger terminal; the new building opened in 2021 and is joined to the older areas by a corridor. Arrivals is small and easy to find your way around, with a tourist information desk and a café in the hall. Your driver waits in the arrivals hall with your name.
- The airport is north of Ljubljana, so for Bled, Bohinj and Kranjska Gora you do not go into the capital at all.
- The tourist information desk in the arrivals hall can help with maps and information on Ljubljana and the rest of Slovenia.
- For the coast, Piran, Portorož and Koper are on the far side of Ljubljana, so the drive goes round the capital on the motorway and then south-west towards the sea.

Where do I meet the driver at Ljubljana Airport?

How much luggage can I take?
One suitcase and one piece of hand luggage per passenger is included. Skis or a snowboard, a golf bag, a surfboard or a bicycle: add them when you book, so a vehicle with room for them is sent (there is a small charge, shown before you pay). An unusual number of ordinary bags: tell us in the notes.
Can I get a child seat?
Yes. Choose it when you book: infant seat (0–12 months), child seat (1–4 years) or booster seat (4–12 years). There is a small charge per seat, shown before you pay. Where the law requires a child seat, travelling without one is not possible.
Can I cancel?
Free up to 24 hours before pick-up, refunded in full. On many routes you can also book without paying and we only charge the card 48 hours before you travel.
Who will drive me?
A licensed local transport company that works with Airportlink. We check its operating licence and insurance before it can take bookings, and again when they expire. The day before, you receive the driver's name, phone number and vehicle.
