The lakes are closer than the cityComo is fifty kilometres, Stresa on Lake Maggiore is forty. If the lakes are why you are coming, Malpensa is the right airport and the transfer is shorter than the one into Milan.

There is no fixed taxi fare from Malpensa. The meter runs, and €90 to €110 into the centre is normal.
