The journey

Estancia Harberton was founded in 1886 by the missionary Thomas Bridges and was the first productive enterprise in Tierra del Fuego. It is reached by Route 33, formerly Route J, and has the Acatushún museum of marine mammals and a restaurant that opens only by reservation.

Arriving at Ushuaia Airport

Ushuaia's airport, opened in 1995, stands on a peninsula reaching into the Beagle Channel, just south of the city centre, so every approach and take-off is over the water. Your driver meets you in the arrivals hall with your name.

An unusual number of ordinary bags: tell us in the notes.

Can I get a child seat?

Yes. Choose it when you book: infant seat (0–12 months), child seat (1–4 years) or booster seat (4–12 years). There is a small charge per seat, shown before you pay. Where the law requires a child seat, travelling without one is not possible.

Who will drive me?

A licensed local transport company that works with Airportlink. We check its operating licence and insurance before it can take bookings, and again when they expire. The day before, you receive the driver's name, phone number and vehicle.
