The journey
Bessa is a city beach with a greenish sea where turtle nests can be seen.
Arriving at João Pessoa Airport
João Pessoa Airport is in Bayeux, west of the city, and the beach districts of Tambaú, Cabo Branco and Manaíra are on the far, eastern side of João Pessoa. The terminal is a compact two-floor building. Your driver meets you at the arrivals exit.
- The city bus from the airport runs to the bus station, not the beaches, and has no luggage space; a pre-booked car goes straight to your hotel.
- Boat trips to the natural pools (Picãozinho, Seixas, Areia Vermelha) depend on low tide, so check the tide before planning your arrival day.

Maps says 20 minutes. That is the driving. Door to door from the moment you land is a different number, and it is the one worth planning around.

How much luggage can I take?
One suitcase and one piece of hand luggage per passenger is included. Skis, golf clubs, bicycles or an unusual number of bags: tell us in the notes when you book, so a vehicle with room for them is sent.
Can I get a child seat?
Tell us in the booking notes, with the child's age, and we pass it to the driver. Where the law requires a child seat, travelling without one is not possible.
Who will drive me?
A licensed local transport company that works with Airportlink. We check its operating licence and insurance before it can take bookings, and again when they expire. The day before, you receive the driver's name, phone number and vehicle.
Can I book the return from Bessa to the airport?
Yes. Add the return when you book, or book it on its own later, also at a fixed price. For pick-ups away from the airport the driver waits 15 minutes free from the booked time.
When do I pay?
When you book, or — on many transfers — later: you book without paying, your card is stored securely with Stripe and charged 48 hours before pick-up. You are told the exact amount and date when you book.
