The journey

Korčula is an island: the road runs the length of Pelješac to Orebić, and from there the Jadrolinija car ferry crosses to Dominče, a short way outside Korčula town. Ferry tickets are not for a set sailing, and in July and August cars can queue for more than one departure, so allow extra time.

Arriving at Dubrovnik Airport

Dubrovnik Airport is at Čilipi, south-east of the city along the coast road and just inland from Cavtat. Terminal C, opened in 2017, handles check-in and departures; arriving passengers come out through Terminal B next door, and the two work as one building. The old Terminal A is no longer used by passengers. Your driver waits in the arrivals hall with your name.

• This is a summer airport: traffic is many times higher in July than in January, and many routes only run in season. In July and August the coast road into Dubrovnik is slow, so allow for it if you have plans for the evening.
• Bags can be slow to reach the carousel when several international flights land together. The driver tracks your flight and the free waiting time starts from landing, so there is no need to rush.
• Cars cannot enter the walled Old Town. If you are staying inside the walls, tell the driver whether Pile Gate or Ploče Gate is closer to your accommodation.

How long it really takes

Maps says 181 minutes. That is the driving. Door to door from the moment you land is a different number, and it is the one worth planning around.

Realistically, 211 to 256 minutes after landing. If someone is waiting for you, that is the number to give them.

When to book

Booking early costs the same as booking late — the price does not move. What moves is whether there is a car left.

Cancellation is free until 24 hours before, so booking early costs you nothing if the plan changes.

How long does it take to get from Dubrovnik Airport to Korčula?

About 181 minutes for the 135.6 km, outside peak traffic. Your driver knows the route and follows the flight, so a delayed landing moves the pick-up rather than costing you the transfer.

How much is a transfer from Dubrovnik Airport to Korčula?

What happens if my flight is late?

We track the flight number you give us. The driver waits and adjusts to the actual landing time, with 60 minutes of free waiting after the plane touches down.

How much luggage can I take?

One suitcase and one piece of hand luggage per passenger is included. Skis or a snowboard, a golf bag, a surfboard or a bicycle: add them when you book, so a vehicle with room for them is sent (there is a small charge, shown before you pay). An unusual number of ordinary bags: tell us in the notes.

Can I get a child seat?

Yes. Choose it when you book: infant seat (0–12 months), child seat (1–4 years) or booster seat (4–12 years). There is a small charge per seat, shown before you pay. Where the law requires a child seat, travelling without one is not possible.

Who will drive me?

A licensed local transport company that works with Airportlink. We check its operating licence and insurance before it can take bookings, and again when they expire. The day before, you receive the driver's name, phone number and vehicle.

Can I book the return from Korčula to the airport?

Yes. Add the return when you book, or book it on its own later, also at a fixed price. For pick-ups away from the airport the driver waits 15 minutes free from the booked time.

When do I pay?

When you book, or — on many transfers — later: you book without paying, your card is stored securely with Stripe and charged 48 hours before pick-up. You are told the exact amount and date when you book.
