What is included

The journey

Baden-Baden is the spa town across the Rhine in Germany, north-east of Strasbourg. Give your hotel's address: many are on the hillsides around the centre.

Arriving at Strasbourg Airport

Strasbourg Airport is at Entzheim, south-west of the city. The terminal is small, and the driver waits in the arrivals hall after baggage reclaim, with your name on a sign.

How long it really takes

Maps says 64 minutes. That is the driving. Door to door from the moment you land is a different number, and it is the one worth planning around.

1
Taxi and disembark10–15 min
2
Passport controlNone inside Schengen. 15–45 min from outside it.
3
Baggage reclaim10–25 min with hold luggage
4
Finding your driver2–5 min. Your name on a sign.
5
The drive64 min

Realistically, 94 to 139 minutes after landing. If someone is waiting for you, that is the number to give them.

When to book

Booking early costs the same as booking late — the price does not move. What moves is whether there is a car left.

A week aheadJuly, August, Fridays and Saturdays. The busiest arrivals of the year, and a long run like this one is the first to run out.
As soon as you have the flightGroups of five or more. Vans and minibuses go first, always.
Two or three daysLanding between 23:00 and 06:00. Fewer drivers are working.
The day before is fineEverything else. The same morning usually works too.

Cancellation is free until 24 hours before, so booking early costs you nothing if the plan changes.

Before you land

Christmas market seasonFrom late November to December the Grande Île hosts the Christmas markets, and traffic in the centre is heavily restricted. The driver stops at the nearest permitted point; allow extra time.
Meeting point after customsYour driver waits in the arrivals hall after baggage reclaim and customs, with your name on a sign. The flight is tracked, so if it lands late the pick-up moves with it.
Motorway tolls are includedMost French autoroutes are toll roads. Any toll on your route is inside the fixed price, so there is nothing to pay on the day.
VTC or taxi licenceEvery driver holds a French VTC professional card or a taxi licence, both issued by the prefecture. We check the licence and the insurance before a company takes its first ride.

FAQ

How long does it take to get from Strasbourg Airport to Baden-Baden?

About 64 minutes for the 78.3 km, outside peak traffic. Your driver knows the route and follows the flight, so a delayed landing moves the pick-up rather than costing you the transfer.

How much is a transfer from Strasbourg Airport to Baden-Baden?

From €179.29 for up to four passengers, and €220.89 for a group of five or six in a van. The price is fixed when you book — tolls and taxes included, nothing added at the end.

What happens if my flight is late?

We track the flight number you give us. The driver waits and adjusts to the actual landing time, with 60 minutes of free waiting after the plane touches down.

Where do I meet the driver at Strasbourg Airport?

In the arrivals hall after you clear customs. The day before your trip we send you the driver's name, phone number and vehicle, and they contact you with the exact spot.

Can I cancel?

Free up to 24 hours before pick-up, refunded in full. On many routes you can also book without paying and we only charge the card 48 hours before you travel.

Is the transfer private or shared?

Private. The vehicle is for your group only: no other passengers and no other stops on the way to Baden-Baden.

Is the price per person or per vehicle?

Per vehicle. One price covers everyone in it, up to the seats of the vehicle you choose.

Which car will I get?

It depends on the size of your group. Sedan: Skoda Superb, Toyota Camry or similar; Premium Sedan: Mercedes E-Class, BMW 5 Series or similar; Van: Mercedes Vito, VW Caravelle or similar; Large Van: Mercedes V-Class, Ford Tourneo or similar; Minibus 12: Mercedes Sprinter or similar · or 2 vans; Minibus 16: Mercedes Sprinter or similar · or 2 vans. These are examples: we do not guarantee a particular make or model, but we do guarantee enough seats and enough space for normal luggage.

How much luggage can I take?

One suitcase and one piece of hand luggage per passenger is included. Skis or a snowboard, a golf bag, a surfboard or a bicycle: add them when you book, so a vehicle with room for them is sent (there is a small charge, shown before you pay). An unusual number of ordinary bags: tell us in the notes.

Can I get a child seat?

Yes. Choose it when you book: infant seat (0–12 months), child seat (1–4 years) or booster seat (4–12 years). There is a small charge per seat, shown before you pay. Where the law requires a child seat, travelling without one is not possible.

Who will drive me?

A licensed local transport company that works with Airportlink. We check its operating licence and insurance before it can take bookings, and again when they expire. The day before, you receive the driver's name, phone number and vehicle.

Can I book the return from Baden-Baden to the airport?

Yes. Add the return when you book, or book it on its own later, also at a fixed price. For pick-ups away from the airport the driver waits 15 minutes free from the booked time.

When do I pay?

When you book, or — on many transfers — later: you book without paying, your card is stored securely with Stripe and charged 48 hours before pick-up. You are told the exact amount and date when you book.

Can I contact you before I travel?

Yes. Message us on WhatsApp at +1 951 579 7412 — for a price, a change to your booking or anything about the trip — or email support@airportlink.app.
