The journey
The new office towers, the Nivy bus station and the riverside development by the Danube are on the airport side of the Old Town, so this is the quickest of the city transfers. Give the driver the building or hotel name: several towers share the same streets.
Arriving at Bratislava Airport
Bratislava Airport is in the eastern part of the city and connects directly to the D1 motorway bypass, so it is well placed both for the centre and for the motorway east towards Trnava and Piešťany. The terminal has a main building (Terminal A) and Terminal B, which handles non-Schengen arrivals and departures. The arrivals hall is on the ground floor of the main building and opened in 2012. Your driver waits in the arrivals hall with your name.
- The taxi rank and intercity bus stop are in front of the Arrivals terminal, but city bus 61 to the main railway station stops in front of Departures. Your driver meets you inside the arrivals hall.
- If you are flying in from outside the Schengen Area, you come through Terminal B and passport control before reaching the meeting point.
- Cars are not generally allowed into Bratislava's historic centre, so for Old Town hotels the driver stops at the nearest point a car can reach.
How long it really takes
Maps says 12 minutes. That is the driving. Door to door from the moment you land is a different number, and it is the one worth planning around.
Realistically, 42 to 87 minutes after landing. If someone is waiting for you, that is the number to give them.
When to book
Booking early costs the same as booking late — the price does not move. What moves is whether there is a car left.
Cancellation is free until 24 hours before, so booking early costs you nothing if the plan changes.

How much luggage can I take?
One suitcase and one piece of hand luggage per passenger is included. Skis or a snowboard, a golf bag, a surfboard or a bicycle: add them when you book, so a vehicle with room for them is sent (there is a small charge, shown before you pay). An unusual number of ordinary bags: tell us in the notes.
Can I get a child seat?
Yes. Choose it when you book: infant seat (0–12 months), child seat (1–4 years) or booster seat (4–12 years). There is a small charge per seat, shown before you pay. Where the law requires a child seat, travelling without one is not possible.
Who will drive me?
A licensed local transport company that works with Airportlink. We check its operating licence and insurance before it can take bookings, and again when they expire. The day before, you receive the driver's name, phone number and vehicle.
Can I book the return from Nivy and the riverside business district to the airport?
Yes. Add the return when you book, or book it on its own later, also at a fixed price. For pick-ups away from the airport the driver waits 15 minutes free from the booked time.
When do I pay?
When you book, or — on many transfers — later: you book without paying, your card is stored securely with Stripe and charged 48 hours before pick-up. You are told the exact amount and date when you book.
