- One suitcase and one bag per passenger. More than that, tell us when you book.
The journey
An hour and a quarter north, crossing the island. The climate changes completely on that side — greener, cloudier, and often ten degrees cooler.
Arriving at Tenerife South Airport
Tenerife South handles almost all holiday traffic to the island. The TF-1 motorway runs west to the resorts in twenty minutes and north to Santa Cruz and Puerto de la Cruz in about an hour.
- Tenerife North is a separate airport an hour away. Check which one your flight uses.
- The climb to Teide is a different climate — bring a jacket even in August.
How long it really takes
Maps says 75 minutes. That is the driving. Door to door from the moment you land is a different number, and it is the one worth planning around.
Realistically, 105 to 150 minutes after landing. If someone is waiting for you, that is the number to give them.
When to book
Booking early costs the same as booking late — the price does not move. What moves is whether there is a car left.
Cancellation is free until 24 hours before, so booking early costs you nothing if the plan changes.
FAQ
