The journey
Kadıköy is on the Asian side, so this route crosses the Bosphorus. We measure to the ferry pier; give the driver your street if you are staying elsewhere in the district.
Arriving at Istanbul Airport
Istanbul Airport is in Arnavutköy, on the European side, north of the city. It opened in 2018 and took over all scheduled passenger flights from Atatürk Airport in April 2019. Domestic and international flights use the same terminal; the meeting point is the arrivals hall after customs, where your driver waits with your name.
- Domestic arrivals come out through a separate exit from international ones. If you are flying in from another Turkish city, tell us, so the driver waits at the right door.
- Private cars are not allowed to wait at the terminal doors. Your driver meets you inside the arrivals hall and walks you to the car.
- Passport control queues can be long in July and August. Your driver tracks the flight and waits.
- Many nationalities need an e-visa for Turkey, applied for online before you fly, and some are exempt. Check the rules for your passport before you travel, not at the desk.
How long it really takes
Maps says 56 minutes. That is the driving. Door to door from the moment you land is a different number, and it is the one worth planning around.
Realistically, 86 to 131 minutes after landing. If someone is waiting for you, that is the number to give them.
When to book
Booking early costs the same as booking late — the price does not move. What moves is whether there is a car left.
Cancellation is free until 24 hours before, so booking early costs you nothing if the plan changes.

How much luggage can I take?
One suitcase and one piece of hand luggage per passenger is included. Skis or a snowboard, a golf bag, a surfboard or a bicycle: add them when you book, so a vehicle with room for them is sent (there is a small charge, shown before you pay). An unusual number of ordinary bags: tell us in the notes.
Can I get a child seat?
Yes. Choose it when you book: infant seat (0–12 months), child seat (1–4 years) or booster seat (4–12 years). There is a small charge per seat, shown before you pay. Where the law requires a child seat, travelling without one is not possible.
Who will drive me?
A licensed local transport company that works with Airportlink. We check its operating licence and insurance before it can take bookings, and again when they expire. The day before, you receive the driver's name, phone number and vehicle.
Can I book the return from Kadıköy to the airport?
Yes. Add the return when you book, or book it on its own later, also at a fixed price. For pick-ups away from the airport the driver waits 15 minutes free from the booked time.
When do I pay?
