The airport
Sarajevo International Airport is in Butmir, a suburb in the Ilidža municipality on the south-western edge of the city, with Baščaršija and the old town at the far end of the valley. There is a single terminal building, with separate main entrances for departures and arrivals. Arrivals has its own zone at the front of the building, so there is only one place to come out. Your driver waits in the arrivals hall with your name.
- Fog is the airport's main operating problem, mostly in winter, and it can cancel or hold flights for hours. Your flight is tracked; if it is rerouted or moved to another day, tell us and we move the pick-up.
- Baščaršija is a set of pedestrian streets that cars cannot enter. If your guesthouse is inside it, give the driver its name so he can stop at the nearest point a car can reach.
- In winter the roads up to Jahorina and Bjelašnica are mountain roads; after snowfall chains are sometimes required, so allow extra time on a ski transfer.

Where do I meet the driver at Sarajevo Airport?
In the arrivals hall after you clear customs. The day before your trip we send you the driver's name, phone number and vehicle, and they contact you with the exact spot.
What happens if my flight is late?
We track the flight number you give us. The driver waits and adjusts to the actual landing time, with 60 minutes of free waiting after the plane touches down.
Is the price per person or per vehicle?
Per vehicle. One price covers everyone in it, up to the seats of the vehicle you choose.
Which car will I get?
It depends on the size of your group. These are examples: we do not guarantee a particular make or model, but we do guarantee enough seats and enough space for normal luggage.
How much luggage can I take?
One suitcase and one piece of hand luggage per passenger is included. Skis or a snowboard, a golf bag, a surfboard or a bicycle: add them when you book, so a vehicle with room for them is sent (there is a small charge, shown before you pay). An unusual number of ordinary bags: tell us in the notes.
Can I get a child seat?
Yes. Choose it when you book: infant seat (0–12 months), child seat (1–4 years) or booster seat (4–12 years). There is a small charge per seat, shown before you pay. Where the law requires a child seat, travelling without one is not possible.
Can I cancel?
Free up to 24 hours before pick-up, refunded in full. On many routes you can also book without paying and we only charge the card 48 hours before you travel.
Who will drive me?
A licensed local transport company that works with Airportlink. We check its operating licence and insurance before it can take bookings, and again when they expire. The day before, you receive the driver's name, phone number and vehicle.
