Before you land
The airport
La Araucanía International Airport is south of Temuco, in the commune of Freire, and opened on 29 July 2014, replacing Maquehue Airport. It serves Temuco and the lake resorts of Villarrica and Pucón. Your driver meets you in the arrivals hall, with your name.
- Give the full hotel or cabin address. Around Lake Villarrica, many places to stay are on the lakeside roads rather than in the towns.
- Add your flight number when you book, so the driver can track any delay.

How much is a transfer from Temuco Airport?

Where do I meet the driver at Temuco Airport?

How much luggage can I take?
One suitcase and one piece of hand luggage per passenger is included. Skis or a snowboard, a golf bag, a surfboard or a bicycle: add them when you book, so a vehicle with room for them is sent (there is a small charge, shown before you pay). An unusual number of ordinary bags: tell us in the notes.
Can I get a child seat?
Yes. Choose it when you book: infant seat (0–12 months), child seat (1–4 years) or booster seat (4–12 years). There is a small charge per seat, shown before you pay. Where the law requires a child seat, travelling without one is not possible.
Can I cancel?
Free up to 24 hours before pick-up, refunded in full. On many routes you can also book without paying and we only charge the card 48 hours before you travel.
Who will drive me?
A licensed local transport company that works with Airportlink. We check its operating licence and insurance before it can take bookings, and again when they expire. The day before, you receive the driver's name, phone number and vehicle.
