What is included

The journey

There are two ways down the Serra do Mar: the BR-277 with the Morretes turn-off, or the scenic Estrada da Graciosa (PR-410), which still has 8 km of cobblestones before the PR-411 branch to Morretes.

Arriving at Curitiba Airport

Afonso Pena serves Curitiba, but it is in the neighbouring municipality of São José dos Pinhais, south-east of the city centre. It handles domestic and international flights and has been run by Motiva since 2022. Your driver meets you in the arrivals hall.

How long it really takes

Maps says 68 minutes. That is the driving. Door to door from the moment you land is a different number, and it is the one worth planning around.

Realistically, 98 to 143 minutes after landing. If someone is waiting for you, that is the number to give them.

When to book

Booking early costs the same as booking late — the price does not move. What moves is whether there is a car left.

A week aheadJuly, August, Fridays and Saturdays. The busiest arrivals of the year, and a long run like this one is the first to run out.

Cancellation is free until 24 hours before, so booking early costs you nothing if the plan changes.

Before you land

Morning fog in autumn and winterFog tends to form in the early morning between autumn and winter and usually clears by mid-morning. It can close the airport for a while, so early arrivals are the ones most often delayed.
The airport is in São José dos PinhaisAfonso Pena is outside Curitiba, in São José dos Pinhais. The city centre is a short drive, and the São José dos Pinhais centre is closer still.
The coast is closeMorretes, Antonina, Paranaguá and the boats to Ilha do Mel are all reached down the Serra do Mar, by the BR-277 or the historic Estrada da Graciosa.
Guaratuba bridge opened in 2026Since 1 May 2026 a bridge links Matinhos and Guaratuba across the bay, so the ferry queue is no longer part of trips along the Paraná coast.

FAQ

How long does it take to get from Curitiba Airport to Morretes?

About 68 minutes for the 62.5 km, outside peak traffic. Your driver knows the route and follows the flight, so a delayed landing moves the pick-up rather than costing you the transfer.

How much is a transfer from Curitiba Airport to Morretes?

From R$356.86 for up to four passengers, and R$545.99 for a group of five or six in a van. The price is fixed when you book — tolls and taxes included, nothing added at the end.

What happens if my flight is late?

We track the flight number you give us. The driver waits and adjusts to the actual landing time, with 60 minutes of free waiting after the plane touches down.

Where do I meet the driver at Curitiba Airport?

In the arrivals hall after you clear customs. The day before your trip we send you the driver's name, phone number and vehicle, and they contact you with the exact spot.

Can I cancel?

Free up to 24 hours before pick-up, refunded in full. On many routes you can also book without paying and we only charge the card 48 hours before you travel.

Is the transfer private or shared?

Private. The vehicle is for your group only: no other passengers and no other stops on the way to Morretes.

Is the price per person or per vehicle?

Per vehicle. One price covers everyone in it, up to the seats of the vehicle you choose.

Which car will I get?

It depends on the size of your group. Sedan: Skoda Superb, Toyota Camry or similar; Premium Sedan: Mercedes E-Class, BMW 5 Series or similar; Van: Mercedes Vito, VW Caravelle or similar; Large Van: Mercedes V-Class, Ford Tourneo or similar; Minibus 12: Mercedes Sprinter or similar · or 2 vans; Minibus 16: Mercedes Sprinter or similar · or 2 vans. These are examples: we do not guarantee a particular make or model, but we do guarantee enough seats and enough space for normal luggage.

How much luggage can I take?

One suitcase and one piece of hand luggage per passenger is included. Skis, golf clubs, bicycles or an unusual number of bags: tell us in the notes when you book, so a vehicle with room for them is sent.

Can I get a child seat?

Tell us in the booking notes, with the child's age, and we pass it to the driver. Where the law requires a child seat, travelling without one is not possible.

Who will drive me?

A licensed local transport company that works with Airportlink. We check its operating licence and insurance before it can take bookings, and again when they expire. The day before, you receive the driver's name, phone number and vehicle.

Can I book the return from Morretes to the airport?

Yes. Add the return when you book, or book it on its own later, also at a fixed price. For pick-ups away from the airport the driver waits 15 minutes free from the booked time.

When do I pay?

When you book, or — on many transfers — later: you book without paying, your card is stored securely with Stripe and charged 48 hours before pick-up. You are told the exact amount and date when you book.

Can I contact you before I travel?

Yes. Message us on WhatsApp at +1 951 579 7412 — for a price, a change to your booking or anything about the trip — or email support@airportlink.app.
