What is included

The journey

Canoa Quebrada belongs to Aracati. The route follows the CE-040 down the east coast, crosses the Jaguaribe river on the BR-304 and turns off after Aracati. The village is on top of the cliffs, and its main street, known as Broadway, is where the restaurants and nightlife are.

Arriving at Fortaleza Airport

Fortaleza's airport is run by Fraport Brasil and sits in the Serrinha district, south of downtown, so the beachfront hotels of Meireles and Iracema are a short city drive away. There is a single passenger terminal, and domestic and international arrivals share the same baggage hall. Many passengers are heading straight out of town: the east coast is reached on the CE-040 and the west coast on the CE-085.

How long it really takes

Maps says 138 minutes. That is the driving. Door to door from the moment you land is a different number, and it is the one worth planning around.

Realistically, 168 to 213 minutes after landing. If someone is waiting for you, that is the number to give them.

When to book

Booking early costs the same as booking late — the price does not move. What moves is whether there is a car left.

A week aheadJuly, August, Fridays and Saturdays. The busiest arrivals of the year, and a long run like this one is the first to run out.
As soon as you have the flightGroups of five or more. Vans and minibuses go first, always.
Two or three daysLanding between 23:00 and 06:00. Fewer drivers are working.
The day before is fineEverything else. The same morning usually works too.

Cancellation is free until 24 hours before, so booking early costs you nothing if the plan changes.

Before you land

One terminal for every flightDomestic and international flights use the same terminal, with baggage reclaim and car-rental desks in the arrivals area. Your driver meets you there with a name sign.
East coast on the CE-040, west coast on the CE-085Aquiraz, Morro Branco and Canoa Quebrada are all down the CE-040 to the east. Cumbuco, Taíba, Paracuru, Flecheiras and the road to Jericoacoara use the CE-085, known as the Estruturante, to the west.
Jericoacoara has a no-car villagePrivate cars are not allowed to drive in Jericoacoara village and the last stretch is sand. Road transfers stop in Jijoca or Preá, where you change to a 4x4 or a jardineira for the final leg.
Give the beach, not just the townMany coastal municipalities cover several separate beaches: Aquiraz includes Porto das Dunas and Iguape, Trairi includes Flecheiras. Give the driver the beach and the hotel name.

FAQ

How long does it take to get from Fortaleza Airport to Canoa Quebrada?

About 138 minutes for the 160.6 km, outside peak traffic. Your driver knows the route and follows the flight, so a delayed landing moves the pick-up rather than costing you the transfer.

How much is a transfer from Fortaleza Airport to Canoa Quebrada?

From R$907.26 for up to four passengers, and R$1 388.09 for a group of five or six in a van. The price is fixed when you book — tolls and taxes included, nothing added at the end.

What happens if my flight is late?

We track the flight number you give us. The driver waits and adjusts to the actual landing time, with 60 minutes of free waiting after the plane touches down.

Where do I meet the driver at Fortaleza Airport?

In the arrivals hall after you clear customs. The day before your trip we send you the driver's name, phone number and vehicle, and they contact you with the exact spot.

Can I cancel?

Free up to 24 hours before pick-up, refunded in full. On many routes you can also book without paying and we only charge the card 48 hours before you travel.

Is the transfer private or shared?

Private. The vehicle is for your group only: no other passengers and no other stops on the way to Canoa Quebrada.

Is the price per person or per vehicle?

Per vehicle. One price covers everyone in it, up to the seats of the vehicle you choose.

Which car will I get?

It depends on the size of your group. Sedan: Skoda Superb, Toyota Camry or similar; Premium Sedan: Mercedes E-Class, BMW 5 Series or similar; Van: Mercedes Vito, VW Caravelle or similar; Large Van: Mercedes V-Class, Ford Tourneo or similar; Minibus 12: Mercedes Sprinter or similar · or 2 vans; Minibus 16: Mercedes Sprinter or similar · or 2 vans. These are examples: we do not guarantee a particular make or model, but we do guarantee enough seats and enough space for normal luggage.

How much luggage can I take?

One suitcase and one piece of hand luggage per passenger is included. Skis, golf clubs, bicycles or an unusual number of bags: tell us in the notes when you book, so a vehicle with room for them is sent.

Can I get a child seat?

Tell us in the booking notes, with the child's age, and we pass it to the driver. Where the law requires a child seat, travelling without one is not possible.

Who will drive me?

A licensed local transport company that works with Airportlink. We check its operating licence and insurance before it can take bookings, and again when they expire. The day before, you receive the driver's name, phone number and vehicle.

Can I book the return from Canoa Quebrada to the airport?

Yes. Add the return when you book, or book it on its own later, also at a fixed price. For pick-ups away from the airport the driver waits 15 minutes free from the booked time.

When do I pay?

When you book, or — on many transfers — later: you book without paying, your card is stored securely with Stripe and charged 48 hours before pick-up. You are told the exact amount and date when you book.

Can I contact you before I travel?

Yes. Message us on WhatsApp at +1 951 579 7412 — for a price, a change to your booking or anything about the trip — or email support@airportlink.app.
