The journey
The modern office and hotel district across the Neris river from the Old Town, around Konstitucijos prospektas. The route goes through or around the centre and over the river, so peak traffic sets the time.
Arriving at Vilnius Airport
Vilnius Airport is on the southern edge of the city, close to the centre. A new departures terminal opened in 2025 and is joined to the older building by a gallery; arrivals still come out through the older section of the terminal. A separate new arrivals terminal is planned for later in the decade. Your driver waits in the arrivals hall with your name.
- Departures and arrivals are now in different parts of the terminal. When you land, follow the arrivals signs out — your driver will be waiting there, not in the new departures building.
- The terminal is being rebuilt in stages, so the layout and walking routes may change; follow the airport signs to the arrivals exit.
- The airport is south of the city on the same side as the railway station, so the station and the Old Town are short transfers.
How long it really takes
Maps says 16 minutes. That is the driving. Door to door from the moment you land is a different number, and it is the one worth planning around.
Realistically, 46 to 91 minutes after landing. If someone is waiting for you, that is the number to give them.
When to book
Booking early costs the same as booking late — the price does not move. What moves is whether there is a car left.
Cancellation is free until 24 hours before, so booking early costs you nothing if the plan changes.

How much luggage can I take?
One suitcase and one piece of hand luggage per passenger is included. Skis or a snowboard, a golf bag, a surfboard or a bicycle: add them when you book, so a vehicle with room for them is sent (there is a small charge, shown before you pay). An unusual number of ordinary bags: tell us in the notes.
Can I get a child seat?
Yes. Choose it when you book: infant seat (0–12 months), child seat (1–4 years) or booster seat (4–12 years). There is a small charge per seat, shown before you pay. Where the law requires a child seat, travelling without one is not possible.
Who will drive me?
A licensed local transport company that works with Airportlink. We check its operating licence and insurance before it can take bookings, and again when they expire. The day before, you receive the driver's name, phone number and vehicle.
Can I book the return from Vilnius business district (Konstitucijos prospektas) to the airport?
Yes. Add the return when you book, or book it on its own later, also at a fixed price. For pick-ups away from the airport the driver waits 15 minutes free from the booked time.
When do I pay?
