The journey
An hour south on the AP-41. Toledo sits on a hill inside a bend of the Tagus, and the old town is a maze of narrow streets closed to most traffic. Drivers use the Puerta de Bisagra or the Zocodover drop-off depending on where you are staying.
Arriving at Madrid Airport
Madrid–Barajas has four terminals spread over several kilometres, and T4 sits far enough from T1–T3 that a shuttle bus runs between them. Tell us your terminal when you book and the driver meets you at the right one. Most arrivals head into the centre on the A-2, about twenty minutes outside rush hour.
- T4 and T4S handle Iberia and most Oneworld flights. T1, T2 and T3 are a 10-minute shuttle away — the wrong terminal costs you half an hour.
- The metro charges a €3 airport supplement on top of the normal fare, which surprises most first-time visitors.
How long it really takes
Maps says 60 minutes. That is the driving. Door to door from the moment you land is a different number, and it is the one worth planning around.
Realistically, 90 to 135 minutes after landing. If someone is waiting for you, that is the number to give them.
When to book
Booking early costs the same as booking late — the price does not move. What moves is whether there is a car left.
Cancellation is free until 24 hours before, so booking early costs you nothing if the plan changes.

FAQ
How long does it take to get from Madrid Airport to Toledo?
About 60 minutes for the 90 km, outside peak traffic. Your driver knows the route and follows the flight, so a delayed landing moves the pick-up rather than costing you the transfer.
How much is a transfer from Madrid Airport to Toledo?
From €160 for up to four passengers, and €241 for a group of five to eight in a van. The price is fixed when you book — tolls and taxes included, nothing added at the end.
What happens if my flight is late?
We track the flight number you give us. The driver waits and adjusts to the actual landing time, with 60 minutes of free waiting after the plane touches down.
Where do I meet the driver at Madrid Airport?
In the arrivals hall after you clear customs. The day before your trip we send you the driver's name, phone number and vehicle, and they contact you with the exact spot.
Can I cancel?
Free up to 24 hours before pick-up, refunded in full and automatically. On many routes you can also book without paying and we only charge the card 48 hours before you travel.
