The journey
Solna is just north of central Stockholm, where the national arena (Strawberry Arena), the Mall of Scandinavia and many offices are. On match and concert days tell the driver which side of the arena you need.
Arriving at Stockholm Arlanda Airport
Arlanda is north of Stockholm, in Sigtuna Municipality, off the E4 motorway between the capital and Uppsala. Passenger flights use Terminals 2, 4 and 5, but you come out into the arrivals hall of either Terminal 2 or Terminal 5: passengers landing at Terminal 4 walk through to Terminal 5 for baggage and customs. Only drivers with a pre-booked car are allowed into the arrivals halls to meet passengers, so look for your name as you come out. Your driver waits in the arrivals hall of the terminal where you exit.
- Check which terminal your flight arrives at. Flights at Terminal 4 exit through Terminal 5, and the small regional flights from the Terminal 3 gates exit through Terminal 2. The driver waits in the arrivals hall where you come out.
- Inside the terminals, only pre-booked drivers are allowed to meet passengers. Anyone else offering you a ride inside the building is not working with the airport.
- Arlanda Express trains stop at Arlanda South (Terminals 2 and 4) and Arlanda North (Terminal 5), and other trains use Arlanda Central under SkyCity, so the arrivals halls are busy with people heading for the trains.
How long it really takes
Maps says 30 minutes. That is the driving. Door to door from the moment you land is a different number, and it is the one worth planning around.
Realistically, 60 to 105 minutes after landing. If someone is waiting for you, that is the number to give them.
When to book
Booking early costs the same as booking late — the price does not move. What moves is whether there is a car left.
Cancellation is free until 24 hours before, so booking early costs you nothing if the plan changes.

How much luggage can I take?
One suitcase and one piece of hand luggage per passenger is included. Skis or a snowboard, a golf bag, a surfboard or a bicycle: add them when you book, so a vehicle with room for them is sent (there is a small charge, shown before you pay). An unusual number of ordinary bags: tell us in the notes.
Can I get a child seat?
Yes. Choose it when you book: infant seat (0–12 months), child seat (1–4 years) or booster seat (4–12 years). There is a small charge per seat, shown before you pay. Where the law requires a child seat, travelling without one is not possible.
Who will drive me?
A licensed local transport company that works with Airportlink. We check its operating licence and insurance before it can take bookings, and again when they expire. The day before, you receive the driver's name, phone number and vehicle.
Can I book the return from Solna (Strawberry Arena and Mall of Scandinavia) to the airport?
Yes. Add the return when you book, or book it on its own later, also at a fixed price. For pick-ups away from the airport the driver waits 15 minutes free from the booked time.
When do I pay?
When you book, or — on many transfers — later: you book without paying, your card is stored securely with Stripe and charged 48 hours before pick-up. You are told the exact amount and date when you book.
