The journey
The centre is the Presqu'île between the Rhône and the Saône, around Place Bellecour. Vieux Lyon, across the Saône, has narrow pedestrian lanes and traboules; the driver stops at the nearest point, usually on the riverside quay.
Arriving at Lyon Airport
Lyon Saint-Exupéry is east of Lyon, with its own TGV station, designed by Santiago Calatrava, next to the terminals. It serves the city and is also a gateway to the Alps. The driver waits in the arrivals hall after baggage reclaim, with your name on a sign.
