The airport
Faro Airport serves the whole Algarve, and most passengers are not going to Faro itself. Everything west — Albufeira, Vilamoura, Lagos — is on the A22 motorway. Arrivals is a single hall and the meeting point is straight through customs.
- Peak summer Saturdays are the busiest arrivals in Portugal. Allow extra time and expect the terminal to be full.
- The A22 has electronic tolls only. Our price includes them, which is not always the case with local taxis — worth checking if you compare.
